“Honestly, this is a perfect hotel for seeing any performances in the city! It is a really great location, walkable to all the major theaters. The hotel was beautifully decorated for the holidays in the lobby, and the front desk staff was extremely helpful! I made a booking mistake and they were able to help me with getting into the correct room. I will say that the room was a little dated. Nothing horrible, but the tiling in the bathroom had some grouting with large cracks, the carpet was worn down and the dresser drawers wouldn't close. The room service was nice but they were out of many things we wanted, so that was a bummer. However the bed was magically soft and comfy!! For that alone I would book again! Overall, very nicely established hotel with lots of hardworking, lovely people who are happy to help you!!”

“My husband and I have stayed at this Doubletree multiple times, including securing a block of rooms for wedding guests and renting and having hotel catering for pre-and post wedding events. Nina was a pleasure to work with for the events. She arranged for a spacious room with a wonderful breakfast bar that was perfectly set up with tables and chairs for hair and makeup for a dozen women. She also made available a beautiful extended sunny space perfect for “getting ready”photos. The buffet brunch for 100 people the day after the wedding was very well set up between two rooms - one for food and one for dining. The food was very good and the staff attentive. The front desk staff uniformly is nice and welcoming. But the STAR of the Doubletree Center City is Janee. Across our multiple stays, she consistently went out of her way us. From helping with reservation technicalities to coordinating with housekeeping, to recovering and securing my husband’s laptop bag (that I had inadvertently left in the lobby), and more, Janee efficiently handles situations in a warm and caring manner. From the first time meeting her at check in, she remembered us and always greeted us with a smile when we passed through the lobby. Janee’s presence at the front desk creates the environment we experienced when we recently stayed at a Hilton boutique partner hotel in Amsterdam. And this is quite a remarkable achievement for a large hotel in the middle of Philadelphia. I’m not sure which is sweeter - Janee or the Doubletree Chocolate Chip Cookies, but for sure our stays at this Doubletree are not complete without both.”

“Service was amazing. Welcoming staff. They were able to check in early and hold our bags. They gave us great suggestions for things to see and places to eat. The rooms were very clean with a great view of the city. The location was perfect, walking distance to downtown, easy access to trains, and no wait for car services. Restaurants and bar in the hotel. Staff definitely made the Stay.”

“My stay at Doubletree Center City in Philadelphia has been wonderful. In particular Janee at the front desk was so helpful throughout my stay. She knew that I was here for work and encouraged me to check out some of the local parks/restaurants with the limited down time I had. She ensured I got my cookies at check in and also gave me free waters as well. She truly goes above an beyond to make each guest feel welcome. The only thing that the hotel could improve upon is maybe updating the rooms a bit. They are starting to show their age but this was a minor thing in my whole experience. You can't beat the location being right next to the Gayborhood, City Hall, great restaurants, and subway station. I'll be staying here again for my future business and personal travel.”

“I stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Philadelphia Center City for a conference in April, and while the rooms are a bit dated, the level of service more than made up for it. Every member of the team I encountered was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and eager to help. When I had an issue with the air conditioning in my room, someone arrived within five minutes to address it. He was incredibly kind and reassured me that if there were any further problems, he would return immediately to take care of them. The front desk workers were always happy to help and fun to chat with. One evening, I brought a group to the hotel restaurant for late-night drinks and food. Tess, our server, was outstanding. Despite our group enthusiastically ordering over one another, Tess remained patient, attentive, and professional throughout the evening. He made sure we had everything we needed and helped create a fun, relaxed experience for everyone. The restaurant manager, Matthew (if I have the name correct), also stopped by our table to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and that the food met our expectations. That extra level of attention did not go unnoticed. I travel frequently for work and have stayed in many hotels over the years. Exceptional service stands out, and that's exactly what I experienced here. The team made a lasting impression, and I would gladly stay at this hotel again on any future trip to Philadelphia.”

“This is my favorite hotel in Philly when I want to be close to the Kimmel Center! The location is close to several landmarks and good food options. Also, the location is wonderful because after seeing a show it is very convenient to just walk across the street to a nice comfortable room. During my latest stay, we had a minor issue and the staff expertly took care of the problem with care and extreme professionalism. We are definitely looking forward to returning the Double Tree Philly soon!”
